Spring Water Quality Testing

Each spring we put water quality testing equipment into Long Creek to monitor the amount of chloride (road salt), temperature, and dissolved oxygen in the creek.

This allows us to track the creek’s health and look for pollution spikes.

We can track the data of fish and macroinvertebrates, which reflect the overall health of the community and ecosystem. We are working closely with the DEP to restore these systems.

This data will help us make future decisions on the next BMP required for the area.
